Canna Coco Nutrient A&B Works
Coco peat is a very popular growing medium. The best coco coir holds lots of water but drains freely when watered, meaning there’s no clodding and there’s plenty of oxygen in the root zone. Canna Coco Nutrient A&B is a 2-part nutrient, especially for use with plants grown in pots with coco. Canna Coco Nutrient is designed for run-to-waste hydroponic systems or regular hand-watering and works best when 10-20% run-off is achieved. Coco coir grow-mediums tend to release potassium naturally but absorb calcium. Canna Coco Nutrient compensates for this by containing less potassium and more calcium than standard plant feeds. Canna Coco Nutrient contains high-quality mineral ingredients to provide all the basic macro and micronutrients that plants need for lush, healthy growth.
How to Use Canna Coco Nutrient A&B
Canna Coco Nutrient can be used right the way through your grow. Fill your recirculating hydroponic system reservoir with water and add equal amounts of Canna Coco Nutrient Part A and Canna Coco Nutrient Part B to the tank to achieve the required strength and mix well. Use 2-4ml/litre (CF of 12-23) of both part A and part B. Use 2ml/litre for small light-feeding plants and 4ml/litre for larger heavy-feeding plants. The size and vigour of your plants will also affect how frequently they should be watered. As a guideline, 3 feeds per day, achieving 10%-20% run-off per feeding works very well. We recommend using a syringe or beaker for accurate measurement of this product and a CF/EC/PPM meter such as the Bluelab Truncheon to check the nutrient strength. Adjust as necessary. Next, add any additives and boosters you wish to use and again mix well. Adjust the pH of the solution to the required level using pH up or down as necessary. We recommend the use of a pH meter such as the Horticare pH meter to help accurately set the pH to the required level. If Canna Coco nutrient is used in a hydroponic system, it is recommended you renew the nutrient solution in your reservoir every 7 days.
Both parts of a 2-part nutrient are designed to be used together in equal amounts. Using only part A or part B, or using them in unequal amounts, will result in a nutrient solution which is not properly balanced. This will almost certainly lead to your plants suffering from deficiencies.
As with all nutrients, boosters and additives, never mix them together in their concentrated form (i.e. straight out of the bottle). Always add each nutrient, booster or additive to your reservoir or feed water in turn, giving the solution a good stir to mix it in before adding the next one.
Recommended dosage: 2-4ml/Litre each of both Parts A & B
