How Bio Protect Works:
General Hydroponics Bio Protect is a concentrate made from natural ingredients and used as a foliar spray to increase a plant’s defences against bugs. Bio Protect is diluted before use and then applied as a foliar spray. Bio Protect works in 2 different ways: Firstly it contains naturally derived amino acids which strengthen your plant’s immune systems to withstand and fight off attack. Secondly, Bio Protect contains natural essential oils which are layed down onto the leaf and actively repel bugs.
How to Use Bio Protect
GH Ripen is designed for use with plants grown in just about any type of grow-system and substrate. GH Bio Protect can be used at any time of a plant’s life but we would caution against foliar spraying during heavy flowering or fruiting as this may encourage mould. Always shake the bottle well before use. Dilute 5ml of Bio Protect in 1 litre of water (use only fresh water, or preferably demineralised water) and mix well.
Using a spray-gun with a fine mist, spray your plants from top to bottom ensuring no part is missed. Ensure that the topsides, and most importantly, the undersides of all leaves are wetted completely. As always with foliar sprays, only use in low light intensity conditions and ensure none gets on your grow-lamp. The ideal time to spray your plants is when your grow-lamp has just gone out for the dark-cycle while the stomata are still open. This allows time for the spray to be absorbed before the lamp comes back on, reducing the chance of foliar burns due to intense light hitting wet leaves.
