How It Works The system pumps nutrients from the FlexiTank to the IWS Control Unit based on the time settings from the IWS minute timer. This Control Unit is connected directly to the Trident pots via IWS Pro pipework. As the Control Unit fills, nutrient solution is gravity-fed to the Trident pots, filling them from the bottom. This bottom-up feeding ensures complete saturation of the root zone, preventing any blockages in the pipes. Once the top float valve inside the Control Unit is triggered, the flow of water from the FlexiTank is automatically stopped, preventing any flooding, as the float height is aligned with the top of the pots. This easy integration allows you to add the Trident pots to any Pro IWS System seamlessly. Each Trident pot is equipped with a cloth inner pot that promotes root air pruning, creating a dense and healthy root zone. The cloth pot sits on root rods at the base of the Trident pot, which prevent roots from growing down the pipe and causing blockages.
