Plant Magic – Coco Block 75L The Plant Magic 75 litre Coco Block is the new solution for quick and easy plant care. The blocks have a compact design for storing and transporting them when not in use. Plant Magic’s 75 litre Coco Block is designed to be highly efficient at retaining water, air, and nutrients. Its simple ingredients list ensures growers have full control over the nutritional uptake of their crops. The blocks are made of coconut husk sourced from India’s leading coir producer for the horticulture industry. Coir is an inert media, meaning that unlike soil, it does not naturally contain all the nutrients and microorganisms which plants need to thrive. It is naturally high in salts, which damage the root network and eventually kill the plant. But, unlike some other substrates, coconut husk is also a highly absorbent material, meaning less water and nutrients drain away before they are taken by the plants. The coir is buffered with a calcium-magnesium solution to remove excess salts, lowering the media’s EC. It is also treated to ensure it is free of pathogens, odours, roots, and other impurities often found in coco media. Coir gives growers complete control over their growing media’s nutritional values, as every nutrient must be added by hand. Plant Magic 70/30 Supreme combines the growing power of pre fertilised coconut husk with the aeration and water management properties of fytocell and perlite. Plant Magic created this multi-blend substrate to give plants everything they need to flourish from day one, while growers have full control over the nutritional uptake of their plants. The substrate is made up of 70% coconut husk, 15% fytocell, and 15% perlite pebbles, with each component having a specific role in the substrate. Also known as coir, the coco is sourced from India’s largest producer of coconut husk for the horticulture industry. In its purest form, coconut husk (coco) is naturally high in salts. To make it suitable for plant growth, the coco is buffered with a calcium-magnesium solution to remove excess salts. How to Use the PRO7 COCO BLOCK: Prepare the Block: Place the PRO7 COCO BLOCK into a large container, such as a Garland 1m tray or a wheelbarrow. Mix Water and Nutrient: In a separate bucket, mix your water and nutrients (if desired). Add 30L of lukewarm water for a slightly drier mix, which is ideal if you plan to water the plants after potting. Add 35L of water for a wetter mix if you're not going to water the plants right away. Break Up the Block: As the block expands, break it up in the container with your hands or a hand fork to achieve a uniform texture. This process typically takes 15 to 20 minutes. Add Additional Substrates (Optional): If necessary, incorporate additional substrates such as perlite or clay pebbles to improve aeration and drainage. Potting Your Plants: Once the mix is ready, fill your pots with the expanded coco coir, and plant your seedlings or young plants.
